Currently on the fulltime staff at Sheffield Audio/Video Productions as an Audio Engineer, audio remote truck EIC and Director of Education, Jake Mossman brings to the classroom a wealth of up-to-date information on emerging technologies. Jake received his bachelor's degree in music performance with emphasis in sound recording from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell after having also studied at the University of Maryland and the Peabody Conservatory. Before coming to Sheffield, Jake was an engineer at OZ Recording Studios in Baltimore. Jake has mixed live concert broadcasts for clients such as AOL, MTV2 and PBS and recorded a wide range of artists including Jack Johnson, Foo Fighters, Pixies, John Mayer, Stone Temple Pilots, Iggy and the Stooges, My Chemical Romance, Kelly Clarkson and Snoop Dogg. An R.I.A.A. Gold Certification was awarded to him for his work on the Foo Fighters “Everywhere But Home” concert DVD. His expertise includes analog and digital technologies and he shares his techniques with students primarily in the studio environment during labs.
