Beginning with the basics in electronic principals, this course is designed to guide the student on a well structured path exploring and learning the skills and techniques, needed to compete in today’s highly competitive audio/video industry. From cable management, to preventive maintenance on audio/video equipment, the student will experience it all. Upon successful completion of this program the graduate will be qualified to apply for entry level employment in the fields of Systems Integration and Audio/Video Maintenance for one or more of the following
positions: Cable Installer, Audio Installation Technician, Video Installation Technician, A/V Equipment Maintenance Technician.

Test Equipment & Signal Identification 64 hours
Cable Construction 68 hours
Installation 48 hours
Basic Audio/Preventive Maintenance 68 hours
Basic Video/Preventive Maintenance 52 hours
Job Orientation 8 hours
The TechWorks program consists of 189 hours of lectures and 191 hours of Labs/ Practicals, totaling 380 hours. The typical fulltime class is four days a week, four hour per day, for 27 to 30 weeks; part time is two days a week, one four hour per day for 50 to 53 weeks.
